Dallas's 27th birthday was a while back and it sure was an eventful one. It all started the day before his birthday Dallas went to play basketball and when he came home I could tell something was wrong. He was limping and could barely walk. He sat on the couch and showed me his leg. Some kids knee hit his leg...he got a massive goose egg and a huge bruise that took up his whole lower leg. Then the day of his birthday was the day we had a huge ice storm. It took me about 3 hours to get to work so we decided that instead of Dallas trying to get Avrey to school he'd just go in a little late and we'd have Ashley watch her. When he dropped Avrey off he slipped on the porch steps and landed on his back. I had all these great plans...we were going to drop Avrey off to my mom and I was going to take Dallas to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then to Footlocker to pick out some new basketball shoes. But by the time we had all gotten home the storm was getting worse and Dallas was hurting really bad. So we decided to just bag it and try the next week. I felt so bad for him...I didn't even have time to run to the store to get him a cake or anything. He spent his whole birthday laying on the couch with ice on his leg and back. Luckily it all cleared up and we celebrated on that next Monday. At that point I felt like I really had to make it up to him. So, I took him to dinner and get basketball shoes and then I surprised him by pulling out what I thought was a pretty good present. I gave him a punch pass to Davis Golf Course. In the end it all turned out pretty good and I think he had a pretty good day! Finally after a couple weeks his leg is starting to get back to normal and his back is all better!!
