It seemed
like this year Avrey’s birthday party was way less stressful then the
1st one, even though I feel like I planned and did more for this one. We
were lucky enough to be able to celebrate her birthday on a weekend
this year with all the holidays landing during the week…so we had the party
on the 29th. I wanted to have a theme that was super girly and cute…so I
went with a pink and gray color scheme and dressed her super girly. We
had café rio salad for lunch, opened presents and then ate some Sweet
Tooth Fairy sugar cookies and my “homemade” funfetti cake. I put that in
quotes because the cupcakes turned out good and cute, but the cake was a
little sad. It kind of fell apart when we tried to take it out of the
pan…we tried making it look the best we could by covering it in
frosting. Everyone said it tasted good so I guess that’s all that
matters and that it's the thought that counts. Once again this little girl got totally spoiled. She got stuff
for her doll house, a keyboard, puzzles, a giant Minnie Mouse and Dallas
and I gave her a tricycle. We saved that present for the end and when
Dal brought it out she was so excited and wouldn’t get off of it. It was
such a fun day and I’m thankful for everyone who came and shared
Avrey’s special day with her.
