Avrey is now 9 months old and getting so big!! It is still so crazy to me how much these little ones change in such little time. I'm amazed everyday with how smart she is. I can't believe how much she is starting to learn and do. She is crawling all over the place, pulling herself up, giving high fives and talking so much. She still says "dada" and now we are working on "mama", but it still hasn't happened yet. She is able to pull herself up to her knees and just the other day was able to get to her feet.
Avrey had her doctor's appointment on Friday (Sept. 30th) here are her stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 13 oz
Length: 27 inches
Head Circumference: 17 inches
We learned at this appointment that we need to start introducing table foods to her, start her on a sippy cup, tantrums will begin, and she'll have tons of scrapes and bruises.
I was relieved to hear all of this because she has started throwing tantrums when she doesn't get her way...so I was happy to hear that that is normal for this age. Also, she has been falling a ton...so I was glad to hear that she'll be fine if she hits her head. We tried the sippy cup for the first time yesterday and she seemed ok with it, but it will take a while for her to get used to it, and table foods make me nervous. I nervous because of the possibility of choking, but I guess I'll just really have to keep a close eye on her.
It has seriously been so much fun to watch my baby grow over the last couple months and everyday I'm reminded of how thankful I am to have her in my life. This sweet little baby is the joy of my life and I'm so thankful to be her mommy!!
