WOW! I can't believe how long it has taken me to post this, but at least I'm doing it right?!?
Well we got to celebrate Dallas's first Father's Day this year and I couldn't be happier to have him in my life. I'm truly blessed!!
It was around this time last year that we found out we were having a little girl and I can remember that day like it was yesterday. Even though Dallas always thought from the beginning that the baby would be a girl I really think deep down he wanted a little boy. So when we found out it was a girl I was afraid that he would be disappointed, but actually he was the complete opposite. I remember looking over at him and seeing the biggest smile on his face then on the way home he said to me "I can't wait for my little princess to get here". Well sure enough she is his little princess. Little Miss Avrey is such a daddy's girl it's not even funny. It is seriously the cutest thing ever when you see her little face light up when he walks through the door. She will give him the biggest smile and she can't wait for him to pick her up. They are definitely so cute together and it just melts my heart! We've started putting Avrey down at night and letting her soothe herself to sleep. The other day I had put her down and was just letting her cry when all of a sudden I didn't hear anything. I checked the monitor and couldn't see her so I quickly ran upstairs to check on her. When I got to the door I could hear Dallas singing to her. I peaked my head in and I tried telling him that he could do that he then told me that they were having father daughter time. It was the cutest thing ever and even brought a tear to my eye. I'm so grateful and blessed to have such a good husband that is a hands on dad to our little girl. I love him so much and I appreciate all he does for us!!
My dad is the BEST ever! Thank you dad for all you do for our family and for being the best grandpa to our little girl. She loves you so much and so do I. Dad you've always been my biggest supporter and you've always been there for me when I needed you. Thank you for always being there and supporting Dallas and I both.
